Human-in-the-loop AI: why it's not a limitation, it's the product
AI that acts without asking is AI your operations team won't trust. Here's why confirmation-first is the right architecture for supply chain.
The question every buyer asks
When an operations team first sees AI reading their supplier emails, the first question is never about accuracy. It is about control. What happens when it gets one wrong? Who changed the PO?
Those are the right questions. A supply chain is a chain of commitments: a confirmed order becomes a booking, a booking becomes a shipment, a shipment becomes a dock window. An error early in that chain travels all the way down it.
Confirmation-first is a design choice, not a compromise

Why this makes the AI more useful, not less
Autonomous action forces a team into one of two bad positions: trust the system blindly and find errors downstream, or audit every action after the fact, which is the same work they were trying to remove, just later.
